1/8 MPH - 99.77
1000' - 9.103
1/4 ET - 10.885
1/4 MPH -127.40
First 10 second pass for this car, lifted the front tires high out of the hole, shifted 1-2 early at 5000 RPM, car felt strong.

Second Pass

Reaction - .445
60' - 1.643
330' - 4.589
1/8 ET - 7.049

1/4 ET - 10.981
1/4 MPH -126.54
Spun out of the hole, and then hit the 6500 RPM limiter in second, decided best shift point was about 5800-6000 RPM.

Third Pass

Reaction - .589
60' - 1.587
330' - 4.481
1/8 ET - 6.916

1000' - 9.042
1/4 ET - 10.812
1/4 MPH -128.09
Added 1 degree of timing at WOT to timing map.
Good pass, hooked good off the line, shifted at about 6000 RPM, pulled strong through the top end.

SCTC's car number was 4279. Tires were 28x12.5 MT ET Streets. Boost was set at 13.7 psi (high boost pulleys). Temperature was about 70F. Fuel was 92 pump.  Rear gears 3.73, converter is an 10" 3000 RPM stall. Weight is estimated at 3470 lb. with driver.

Rolled it off the trailer and made the first pass of the day:

Car felt strong, I kind of knew it would be a good pass. Had to wait about ½ hour for the second round of time trials and tried the other lane:

Didn't hook quite as well in the other lane as evident by the 60, but otherwise was pretty much the same. Tried to log data on this pass, laptop slid and serial cable disconnected, but still managed to get a look at A/F ratio through first gear. It was pretty rich (which I also verified by pulling a plug) so I pulled about 2% fuel from it and added 2 degrees of timing across the range and made another pass:

Well it sure responded to that! Was really happy to see the increased MPH, but it overpowered the tires out of the hole and spun. I need to take the timing back out of it at the lower RPM to try and keep the tires hooked. Made one more pass without changing anything for the first round of eliminations, but my poor light (of course, worst light of the day happens in eliminations) and a breakout of .002 (10.50 dial) sent me home first round.

Should be back to the track as soon as I get some additional safety equipment installed. And then we'll continue tuning to see how far we can go with the current configuration......

SCTC's car number was 4279. Tires were 28x12.5 MT ET Streets. Boost was set at 13.7 psi (high boost pulleys). Temperature was about 67F, humidity 95%. Fuel was 92 pump.  Rear gears 3.73, converter is an 10" 3000 RPM stall, shifts were made at 6000 RPM. Weight is estimated at 3470 lb. with driver.

Now this was a fun pass!!
Thats' me on the left with SCTC car #4279, against Bob in the ProCharged Mustang on the right, car #7353. We are still trouble shooting Bob's car with the way that it lays down on the top end at 5500 RPM, but for now I can reel him in on the big end. Take notice to the 1/8 MPH and the the 1/4 MPH, I was catching him...at least for now. Bob's car has since run a 10.20 @ 127 with a 1/8 MPH of 107 MPH, still haven't fixed the RPM problem.

SCTC's car number was 4279. Tires were 28x12.5 MT ET Streets. Boost was set at 13.7 psi (high boost pulleys). Temperature was about 80F.  Fuel was mix 94 pump and 100LL.  Rear gears 3.73, converter is an 10" 3000 RPM stall, shifts were made at 6000 RPM. Weight is exactly at 3485 lb. with driver.

This is the car's fastest MPH to date! Hopefully we'll improve on it even more as the cooler weather is approaching.

Weight is exactly at 3480 lb. with driver (Jeez, I must have lost a couple pounds...).

Well, the weather wasn't really any cooler, but the car sure ran better. I've been driving it a little more on the street lately and realized that my acceleration was a little rich. Leaning this out as well as adding a couple degrees of timing at lower RPM really woke up up the launch. I made a total of 3 passes 10.317, 10.375, 10.405 - redlighting the first round of elimnations, best 60' for the day was a 1.477 . I'm still hoping to get it out at least one more time before the snow flies...

The SCTC's best 1/8 mile ET to date, and a nice improvement in MPH over any of my previous passes (previous best 104.71). Looks like the long tube headers have helped performance some. Can't wait to see if the effect follows through in the 1/4 mile

My best 1/8 mile MPH also happened on a different pass, unfortunatly the timeslip printer failed while printing my pass. Here are the numbers.

Reaction - .600
60' - 1.485
330' - 4.227
1/8 ET - 6.539
1/8 MPH - 106.40
